Human flesh... hmm... it's so.. personal. Eat it? Bleh, how disgusting! Never. I was human as well... perhaps, I am even now... partly. But well... first comes pain. Want to escape it? Then comes oblivion. Are you happy now? No... but then comes revenge. Aaah... and it's much better! Revenge... justifying my sins, summoning my vice. And it's so noble! Yess.... i love revenge - such a useful state! But then it transforms into violence. Utter violence that drives you... besides, what does it mean, to be skilled in what i like? It means to kill... just because... i like to kill. Challenge, an egde you're balancing on... sometimes, i want to jump down... right into madness. Aaaah... sweet madness that comes after revenge! But I won't fall into it... it's just... not interesting. Let the warlocks fall into this trap. And i prefer balance. One wrong step - and I'm dead. That's what I like...
Hm... somebody is coming? I hear the footsteps... closer, closer...
--tick---tock---tick---tock...
Now!
Gharb threw something behind the corner.
BOOOOMMM!
Wooooooo-hhhooooo!! - deep, long cackling was echoing in the Mountain
Torn apart flesh covered the walls, falling down... slowly, with disgusting squish sound. Human flesh.
Pieces of burnt, scarred armor were thrown down the passage... into the lava.
Gharb kicked human arm, lying on the warm stones, sending it into the lava as well. He wiped his face off blood.
Hm... paladin. Eat human flesh?... hmm... hmm... - Gharb scratched his chin - But well, paladin isn't really a human being... he's righteous b*tch.
Gharb tossed the bomb in his hand. He has just finished a fast course of engineering. In just several days he learnt the basics and made up several decent bombs and other devices.
Gharb overviewed the passage. Blackrock Mountan gates and all the corridor were all red of blood, thick and squishing if you step on it. Mixed with broken bones, swords, armors... there were no bodies - just a damn, huge garden of violence, blooming in it's best summer. Gharb shuddered and leaned back at the warm stones of Blackrock Mountain. His face grew serious... he frowed.
Soul is dying... merciless, cold-blooded maniac... Is this me? I kill to... become better. In what? In killing... why? To kill even better.
What a cursed circle... it has begun from revenge. What is it now? There's human inside. There's rogue inside. Balancing those... make Gharb.
I want to be sure i'm still... human inside. Violent, cursed, miserable, merciless, unfriendly, anti-social but damn, - somebody living!
She woke me up... she made me feel and face myself, i've been running away from. She helps... just with her being she does. And hell... i want to see her so strongly...
Gharb clicked his hearthstone, contacting Heresy.
Heresy... I remember, you.. wanted to fight me? I'm ready... where shall we meet?
===========
They met in Moonglade. The haven of druids... most peaceful place in all the Azeroth. Light was beaming from the inside of every leaf, of every small critter, living in this place. Untouched by violence and death the place was the best for a duel. Nothing to disturb the fight, nothing to bother the gazing... just focus and fight. Fast and masterful.
In a minute after Gharb made a campfire, he heard Heresy' horse riding. She approached him... a hood was covering her face.
No. Wrong.
The hood. Gharb recognised it... Bloodfang. He was aware using it, feeling it's power... Gharb have never used such a powerful gear - simply because he has never had it. But he had the hood as well... keeping it in the backpack, getting used to its energy.
Heresy dismounted and bowed, calmly.
"Cold... she's so cold...
Gharb, just shut up! You're again falling in this romantic crap! Shut up and focus!"
Gharb bowed to Heresy and applied poison. Despite all the distance Heresy tried to keep, he felt her presence... he couldn't resist it. A sly grin was born.
Well... shall we begin, Until Then I Remain Heresy?
But i warn you! If you would be too skilled, I'll release your tranquil Yeti!
Oh no! - Heresy chuckled quietly.
Oh YES! - Gharb laughed. He felt a relief as he heard her laughter.
They both melt in stealth. Heresy noticed Gharb first... but the skill wasn't on her side. She made a mistake, wrong movement and Gharb used it at the same moment, taking initiative, breaking her combination. Heresy lost the fight. She growled.
I can do better!
I know. You are good. And i'm serious. - Gharb nodded. Heresy bowed.
It's an honor, rogue Gharb.
Bull#!!!... i'm not that skilled. There are more skilled hordies and better geared. But... well, if you think it's an honor - it's your right to think so. - Gharb frowned within. He didn't like her new intonation...
"...-rogue- Gharb... what the hell, i've always been just Gharb... but... get a grip. Get over this little nuance and fight!"
They stealthed. Yet again Heresy made a first attack... and she made a first mistake. Beated, she was clearly angry at herself.
Heresy... don't be so hard on yourself. Rogue duels are... well, it's also luck. - Gharb met her sight... she was looking at him from under her hood. Red eyes... red world... Gharb peered at her eagerly, his heart ached.
"I... am...fine..." - he swallowed but smiled to Heresy, and said he was ready to duel again.
This time... this time... show yourself, darling... comeon, just for a moment...
Gharb noticed a blur shadow of Heresy passed by him. He turned around and attacked with all the powers he had. The hit was precise - Heresy was standing incapacitated, taking one hit after another...
Damn... I hate fighting her! But i like it so much... each hit echoes within me with a slight pain... how can I even fight her? It's a pain... but... do i trust her? Yes... then fight, Gharb... she wants it! You want it!
She opened here... strike. Then backstab... then gouge... and then...
Gharb missed Heresy somehow.
...
...
Ah... such a beautiful sky...
Stars... what are they? They bring light... i watch them and i feel...
Wwait... stars?
WHAT THE F*CK WAS THAT?!
Gharb leaned up his head. Heresy was standing besides him, jauntily twirling her dagger and watching him from under her hood.
I can feel your grin, woman! It's just beaming from you! I feel it with all my bones!!
Heresy chuckled.
Gharb stood up fast and peered at her eagerly. He felt it coming... it was born inside... somewhere in the chest. It was growing bigger, fullfilling him with an excitement and bloody joy... spreading in his veins, going up... it came to the corner of his his lips. Slowly... a smirk... growing and being born into a laughter. Deep, loud laughter of fun and ardor.
"Sadly... she doesn't like noggenfogger. I want to pick her in my pocket now... or to touch..." - Gharb shuddered slightly and purred - "Lust... love... fight. F*CKING PARADISE!!
But no... not now. It would do only worse... Would it? Do you believe in it?
No. But I trust her... it's what she... wants? Who cares... she asked to. Respect it, foolish, impudent man."
Gharb stared at Heresy.
I want MORE!
She grinned and stealthed. Gharb cackled.
Such a damn good dance!..
